Tech Techies is an after-school program at Oakland Technical High School run by Mr. Fern that meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays after school. Students can drop in on the program any day they can, but the more students attend, the more they will learn. Techies focuses on the backstage and technical arts. Students learn to build, plan, and run well-made theatre. Mr. Fern specializes in training students to be backstage managers and builders. Students attending Techies can expect a lot of hard work, expect to get dusty and dirty, and expect to become part of an amazing and supporting community.

The Techies are THE CREW for all music, dance, drama, and school-wide events in the Auditorium. The program meets right behind the Auditorium stage.
