Tech’s Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) program fosters creativity, critical thinking, and technical fluency across disciplines like visual arts, theater, music, dance, and show production. These programs combine foundational technique with historical context, culminating in student exhibitions, concerts, and theatrical productions that build confidence and community. 

VAPA includes the following disciplines:

Locations

Most productions occur in the Auditorium or Drama Studio that is accessed through the gate on 42nd Street near the corner of 42nd Street and Broadway. The gate is opened shortly before the shows begin.

Most Visual Arts shows are shown in the Library and/or hallways accessed via the school’s front doors at 4351 Broadway.
